Bio :Kendra is an Oregon-based farmer and Co-Founder of Friends of Family Farmers. Kendra grew up on a Midwestern dairy farm, graduated from Michigan State University and became a community organizer working with farming communities impacted by industrial-scale factory farms. Kendra’s work took her to rural communities in Michigan, Illinois, Iowa and Minnesota until she moved to Oregon in 2003. In 2006, she started a small farm and began consulting work. Kendra and her husband currently farm 70 acres near Scio, Oregon where they raise heritage breeds of pigs, goats, chickens and turkeys.
