Slow Flowers and Native Bees
June 9 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm25 – 30
Session 3 of Our Family Farm’s The Future of Farming…is Regenerative, a six part series to learn about and implement regenerative agriculture practices on your farm or in your garden.
We will visit Le Mera Gardens field with Joan Thorndike, who has been farming organic, fresh cut flowers in Southern Oregon’s Rogue River Valley since 1992.
The Slow Flowers Movement aspires to reclaim the act of flower growing, recognizing it as a relevant and respected branch of domestic agriculture. Slow Flowers connects consumers with the source of their flowers, putting a human face of the flower farmer and floral designer behind each arrangement.
Bring a pair of garden clippers or even kitchen scissors so all can cut some fresh flowers to take home.
$30 day of the event
$25 with Preregistration
$20 for Our Family Farms members
