November Portland InFARMation
‘Increasing Healthy Food Access In Oregon’
What is stopping you from shopping at your local farmers markets, becoming a CSA member, or buying half a cow? Join us for the last of three in our Portland InFARMation Series on ‘Becoming an Educated Eater.’ This will be a fun and informative night where local farmers and experts will talk about how households at all income levels can stock up on local meat and pantry items for the winter. Also, hear how shopping at farmers markets or otherwise supporting local farmers is not just for high earners. You’ll bring home recipe ideas and tips for how to stretch your food dollars. Have a beer (or non-alcoholic beverage), participate in this important conversation, and walk away with more skills on how to participate in the local food economy on any budget.
