Beginning Farmer & Rancher Lobby Day
April 24 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pmFree
At the start of the 2019 Legislative Session we introduced several bills to help address a top issue facing Oregon family farmers and ranchers: lack of access to land and capital. Most of our proposals have made it through some of the major deadlines (you can find a full recap here), but a lot of work is still needed to keep them moving. We need your help to push for:
- a proposed beginning farmer tax credit (HB 3092)
- student loan debt assistance for beginning farmers (HB 3090)
- a small and beginning farmer loan program (HB 3085)
Join us at the State Capitol in Salem to advocate for these proposals! For just a couple hours, you can hear the latest on our bills, have lunch, and meet with your legislators to share your story and the importance of supporting beginning farmers and ranchers. A couple hours of your time can make a big difference.

Time: 12 – 3pm
