Experienced Farmers and Landholders
Despite popular belief, there are a whole lot of new farmers out there who are ready to dig in the dirt and start farming. By using our electronic clearinghouse, we can ensure success for the next crop of family farmers!
What can iFarm Oregon Do For You?
Whether you would like to sell your land, rent or lease it, develop a partnership or explore other ways to keep it in agriculture, iFarm Oregon can assist you. We can provide you with names of aspiring farmers looking for such options. Download our Landholder questionnaire to be enrolled in the program.
Some individuals are also interested in being mentored or advised during this transitional period, if you are have an
internship program or are interested in mentoring or advising new farmers, please let us know and we can include a post in our online database.
iFarm Oregon can also link you to resources and information to assist with succession planning, estate planning, conservation easements and land-leasing agreements.
How Does the Program Work?
Landowners and new farmers complete a questionnaire describing their goals, situation, attributes and resource needs. Once completed and approved, this information is entered into our online database.
By filling out our Landholder Questionnaire, you will be enrolled in the program which enables you to post available land for sale or lease/rent and partnership opportunities. You will also have access to others who are participating in the program.
If you see a posting that interests you, please contact Friends of Family Farmers for more information. Each situation is handled individually to align common goals, interests and logistical requirements.
If you have any questions, would like the Landholder Questionnaire as a Word document, or are seeking more information, please email ifarm@friendsoffamilyfarmers.org or call (503) 622.0161. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!
