Friends of Family Farmers is a grassroots organization and we rely on public support for the work that we do. As citizens, it is our job to watchdog industrial agribusiness, support family farmers and voice our concerns to our state agencies and elected officials. Please take a moment to see how you can get involved. With your help, we can support our socially responsible farmers and keep Oregon a great place to live and farm.
Become a Member
Become a member of Friends of Family Farmers today! At this time, membership can be taken over the phone – 503.759.FARM (3276) – or via email. Memberships are $50 per year, with additional levels of a Two Year Supporting Membership of $200 and Lifetime Sustaining Memberships of $1000. Student Memberships are only $25 per year, and every little bit helps. This money goes to support our programs and ensure that we will continue to be able to promote and protect socially responsible agriculture in Oregon in the future. Added incentives include a quarterly paper newsletter mailed to you and a Friends of Family Farmers bumper sticker. Supporting and Lifetime Memberships also receive one-year subscriptions to the Small Farmer’s Journal and to the Small Farms Conservancy.
Volunteer With Us
As a non-profit we rely on volunteers to help deliver our message. If you live anywhere in Oregon and are interested in helping, please email us: info @ friendsoffamilyfarmers.org.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Tabling at local venues and events to educate the community on the work of Friends of Family Farmers and the current agricultural issues we are facing in Oregon.
- Encourage friends and neighbors to stay in touch with us and get involved with the regeneration of our food system.
- Making phone calls and writing letters to decision makers.
- Hosting house parties and letter writing parties.
- Helping to put out our quarterly newsletter.
- Research projects

- Contact your legislators and let them know what you think about food and agriculture in Oregon. Download a list of current State Senators, Representatives and County Commissioners.
- Keep up to date with the Oregon Board of Agriculture and participate with public comment during their quarterly meetings.
- Add some tools to your Action Box by writing letters to the editor, op-eds, or public comment. Or host your own community meeting and start a discussion on these important issues.
