Friends of Family Farmers – Promoting and Protecting Socially Responsible Farming in Oregon.

Feb 9th: Hear Directly from Oregon Policymakers!

At February’s InFARMation (and Beer!), our guests will be Lynn Youngbar from the Oregon Board of Agriculture, Representative Brian Clem, and Steve Cohen, Manager of Food Policy & Programs for the City of Portland. This moderated panel will talk to us about how policy is made in our state and what their experiences have been working within their respective policy-making body.

This is your opportunity to ask direct questions of the speakers, who have the best seat in the house when food and agriculture policy is being discussed, influenced, and ultimately made.  As farmers and concerned citizens we need to pay attention to state agriculture policy if we care what our future food system will look like. If you farm or if you just love to eat clean healthy food, you have a stake in the making of agricultural policy in Oregon!

If you have a specific question or topic you’d like to see the panel answer, please send it via email. Additional information and logistics for InFARMation (and Beer!) can be found here. Hope you can join us!
