Friends of Family Farmers – Promoting and Protecting Socially Responsible Farming in Oregon.

Canola Fundraising Campaign

While the Oregon Department of Agriculture formulates a new permanent rule on canola in the Willamette Valley, we at Friends of Family Farmers are strategizing and gathering our resources. Despite the fact that the Court of Appeals has implied that ODA would not win at a hearing (and a final hearing couldn’t happen until several months from now and temporary rule expires in February), and despite the fact that canola can no longer be planted this fall, ODA has chosen to keep the temporary rule court case alive rather than concede the loss.  This means that FoFF has had to pay additional legal bills to defend a case that ODA knows it won’t win. Read the Court Document Granting Stay of Temporary Rule>>>

Our organization is dependent on donations from individuals for our work fighting canola in the Willamette Valley.  We are currently facing a $10,000 shortfall, and are looking to our loyal partners to help us cover our past efforts and prepare for the continued battle.

If you have supported us in the past, we – along with the Willamette Valley’s specialty seed growers, clover seed growers, fresh market vegetable growers and Organic growers – thank you for your generosity.  If you and/or your business could provide additional support to continue these efforts, we would be extremely grateful.  If you have not yet donated to this cause, please consider doing so.  Click here for more information about this issue and the work that has been accomplished so far.

We deeply appreciate donations of all sizes.  Know that your donation to our 501(c)(3) is tax deductible.

Online donations can be made through our PayPal site>>> or over the phone: 503.759.FARM (3276).

Checks can be made out to Friends of Family Farmers and mailed to:
