The topic for the August InFARMation will be grass fed meat. Is grass fed meat a better choice? Is it healthier, more humane? What’s the difference between grass fed and grass finished? We will delve into these questions with a great panel of qualified professionals. From the culinary side, we are fortunate to have Lynne Curry, author of the recently published cookbook Pure Beef. Steve Oberg of Powell Butte Bison Ranch in Central Oregon will join us to talk about raising the American buffalo and rancher Joe Pestana will share the philosophy behind Oregon GrassFed, his ranch in Curry County on the Southern coast.
