AmeriCorps Youth Gardens Coordinator with Marion-Polk Food Share Community Gardens Program
The Marion-Polk Food Share Community Gardens Program is currently accepting applications for Youth Gardens Coordinator, an AmeriCorps Service Member position with the Oregon State Service Corps. This is a full time, 11 month position, starting September 2012 and ending July 2013. The position is based in Salem, Oregon, working closely with Marion-Polk Food Share staff, volunteers and community partners.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Coordinate youth-focused garden projects for Marion-Polk Food Share’s Community Gardens Program. Provide direct instruction for youth programs in community and school gardens, develop curriculum and other resources for youth-gardening education projects, facilitate partnerships between area organizations and organize summer day camp garden programs.
